Dumai, Indonesia

I spun my virtual globe and ended up fairly close to this city is in the province of Riau on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia

Dumai is a very important city focusing on trade and transport. Unfortunately not very exciting for common travelers, as there is not much to do in this city unless you are in it for some seedy business.

There are a couple of sights if you are passing through or you’re in the area of the town.

One would be Jalan Kelakap a Chinese temple 5 minutes walk form the bus terminal

Or the Grand Mosque Almanan About 15 km away from the center of the city

Or there is an interesting looking shopping mall for you to tick the time away at

Dumai, Indonesia is an overall seemingly clean place if you happen to get swallowed up in the midst of an Indonesian adventure, with huge plants and industries your bound to get caught in small tourist towns aimed at catching your eye on little shops and small attractions that you’ll tell your future generations about. The small towns on the maps can have the biggest and most exciting stories

Tysfjord, Norway

I have decided to pick a random place off google earth. Although I chose the Scandinavian region for fun. ;)

Tysfjord Norway. Gorgeous! but tiny with a population of a little over a 1,000 people. sounds a lot like my little hometown. Little information could be gathered from this town..

although they do have some impressive rock carvings with the earliest know depiction of an orca whale.

This town is near the second deepest fjord in Norway totaling 2,943 feet deep!

All in all this little town puts out a great scene in nature and untouched wilderness perfect for the travelers who want to get out and away from society but also daredevil’s who don’t mind the cold. ;)
